Description
The railroad hiking trailruns along the Semmering railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can hike from Semmering station to Payerbach or Gloggnitz. The route is ideal for the whole family - especially for children, who can let off steam at the "children's station" themed playground. A large wooden locomotive and a slide tower await little train fans there. Just a ten-minute walk from Semmering train station, the playground is a great destination for a short walk or a worthwhile stopover on a hike. Located right next to the tracks, you can also watch the passing trains from close up.
