From herb spiral and soup meadow
The Fössl family's garden is located in Göstling an der Ybbs in the Steinbachtal valley. The old house is easily accessible and lies directly on the road to the Dürrenstein wilderness area and the Eulenweg trail, a popular family excursion destination. From the street side, the front garden adorns the old house, which has been in existence since 1305, and welcomes visitors from afar with colorful shrubs and herbs.
Over time, the garden has developed into a herb garden with a herb spiral. This is where Roswitha Fössl devotes herself to her passion: gardening and the processing of tasty and healing herbs. Wild herbs are also regularly used in the kitchen, so a small piece of the house meadow soon became a beloved "soup meadow".
The lady of the house smiles: "I used to have a garden, now the garden has "me"." During a tour of the garden, she enjoys chatting with her guests about this and that herb and sharing her experiences.
