The cross-country ski trail network in Bärnkopf spans over 65 km and winds through the forests of the Weinsberger Wald. The trails range from easy to moderately difficult, and skaters will also find plenty to enjoy. The local trail is groomed for both classic and skating styles, and there is also a separate 5-km skating trail. A special highlight is the floodlight system on the local trail, which is open every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. when there is sufficient snow, or on other days by advance reservation.
The trailhead is located in town, near the recreation center. There you’ll also find free parking, a beverage and snack vending machine, and restroom facilities.
