Description

One of the most beautiful natural experiences in the Mostviertel region is located near Frankenfels on the Mariazell Railway in the Dirndl Valley: the Nix Cave. It is an impressive stalactite formation made of snow-white mountain milk - popularly known as "Nix". The cave is 1,410 m long and has a height difference of 70 m. The Nix Cave was once formed by large rock movements with stress releases, which resulted in collapses, folds and scaling. Guided tours are available for groups at any time by prior arrangement.

Meeting point for guided tours: Cave entrance, approx. 20 min ascent from the parking lot at LB 39
