Description
Anneliese Bruckner has been collecting dolls, toys and children's books for over 45 years. During this time, she has amassed a real treasure trove. In 2018, Ms. Bruckner opened her doll museum, which is located in her parents' house in Raabs an der Thaya. Visitors can expect a journey through time from the Biedermeier period to the 1960s. Over 3,000 exhibits, each with its own history, can be admired.
The oldest pieces include a celluloid Schildkröt doll from the Biedermeier period (around 1820) and a velvet cat from the early days of the Steiff collection.
On a tour of the museum, visitors can also discover Punch and Judy figures, doll's prams, doll's kitchens, Barbie dolls and an original school desk with a slate blackboard. An old classroom was also set up for viewing in 2019.
