Description
The mill, originally called "Mühle in dem grunde derhalben des Wazzers", later "Mühle am Nidern Grund", then "Rothe Mühle" or "Rothmühle", was already located on a site in the village of Rannersdorf, which until 1848 belonged to the landlord of the church of St. Gilgen. "At the time of its first documentary mention, it was already located on an area in the village of Rannersdorf, which belonged to the manorial estate of the church of St. Gilgen in Gumpendorf until 1848.
Today, Rohtmühle Castle is a bed and breakfast and is available for weddings and conferences.
