Schlossberg Mitterstockstall

A romantic hollow path leads to a loess elevation, the steep face of which is now used as a roost by bee-eaters, and where Winklberg Castle once stood. The view once enjoyed by the lords of Winkl can still be experienced today: a magnificent view of the Maria Trost pilgrimage church in Kirchberg am Wagram and, on a clear day, Göttweig Abbey.
