Description

The Theresienwarte in the rose and spa town of Baden was built in 1884 - financed by Theresia Göschl, who also gave the viewpoint its name. After renovations in 1912 and 1980, the lookout has been as picturesque as ever since 2016. It offers pleasure hikers and walkers a magnificent panoramic view of Baden, Bad Vöslau and Sooß as well as Schneeberg and Harzberg.

Accessibility for hikers
An easy, approximately two-hour circular hike leads from the entrance to the Kurpark Baden to the Theresienwarte and back again. Stations: Entrance to Kurpark Baden - Beethoven Temple - Rudolfshof - Theresienwarte - Karolinenhöhe - Anna Höhe - entrance to Kurpark Baden. Starting at Casino Baden, the route passes the Lanner and Strauss monuments and heads left up Beethovenweg. From the Beethoven Temple at the top, the route turns right onto Gustav Perger-Weg and continues towards Rudolshof. The Theresienwarte is then already signposted. From there, you can either take the same route back or continue via Karolinen- and Anna Höhe back to Kurpark Baden.
