The fact that Cider is something special in the Mostviertel is clear from the name of this culinary region. Between the Danube and the Ötscher, right in the middle of beautiful Lower Austria, Gabriela Hader has been offering her guests local inn cuisine since 2000. And yes, thanks to the in-house "Mostothek", the star of the region comes into its own at Hader's Wirtshaus in Amstetten. In-house productions such as the smoked bacon, raspberry and blackberry liqueur, chutneys and herbs from the fragrant garden give this inn an unmistakable touch. A seasonally changing menu, charming service and plenty of hospitality are obvious features that are appreciated by regulars and excursion guests alike.

Hader's Wirtshaus fulfills the culinary demands of many. The marinated chicken fillet with an almond crust on a pear and Cider salad shines in its originality. A seasonal hit is the venison ragout in a hearty Cider and cream sauce with homemade Kletzenknödel dumplings. The Hader family's guests are also happy without meat. The restaurant is known for its generous selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. With a playground and petting zoo, the inn is ideal for families with children. Incidentally, the popular Stadt Haag zoo is very close by and attracts visitors with over 700 animals and 70 species. Guests with an affinity for culture will be delighted by the Haag Theater Summer and Seitenstetten Abbey.
