The farm with snack station is beautifully situated in the countryside at the foot of the 1,669 m high Gippel, around five kilometers from the town center of St. Aegyd am Neuwalde. The Eder family has been running the farm for over 100 years. The "Herzerl-Mitzi" - as landlady Maria Eder is also known - is known far and wide: She bakes delicious gingerbread and organizes gingerbread painting courses for children. The largest gingerbread heart in the world has even earned her an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In culinary terms, the Via Sacra host is known for his good home cooking. Some specialties, such as roast pork, are even prepared in the old tiled stove. Also popular are the Schnitzelallerlei, the Ripperl (made to order), dishes from game and the farm's own organic beef. Homemade bread, pastries and of course gingerbread are also served. The rooms at the Holzhof are furnished in a cozy, rustic style.

Tip: Maria Eder is also available to guests as a Via Sacra expert. Overnight guests are welcomed with a schnapps or a glass of fruit juice, and a pick-up service or luggage transport can be organized free of charge.
