From Monday to Saturday, wine lovers can sample the best of around 20 wineries - and take home specialties ranging from wine to spirits.
Good to know: Perchtoldsdorf is not considered one of the most popular wine and wine tavern towns in Lower Austria near Vienna for nothing. Thanks to its favorable location in the so-called Lower Austrian thermal region and the high loess content in the soil, wine thrives particularly well here. Numerous small and medium-sized wineries are therefore still dedicated to the centuries-old tradition, in which the barrique - the wooden barrel made from oak wood - has been particularly popular since around 1990.
