The Marchfelderhof in Deutsch Wagram - in the middle of the fertile Marchfeld - is located not far from the former imperial residence of Vienna.
Even during the Habsburg monarchy, the Marchfelderhof was a popular tavern with its own farm, butcher's shop, grocery store, dance hall and accommodation for soldiers, merchants and the military.
