The perfect destination for your getaway in the heart of the Vienna Woods—just 20 minutes from the outskirts of Vienna. Our hut is a wonderful place to stop for a break after short walks or long hikes—it’s the ideal spot for rest, relaxation, and refreshment. To recharge, we offer hearty home-style cooking as well as seasonal vegetarian and vegan dishes and refreshing drinks.
Directions
Directions are the same as for the Gugging Museum: take the new roundabout near the Billa, continue straight on the IST-A main road, and drive straight ahead until you reach the no-entry sign after the small bridge. From there, it’s about a 15-minute leisurely walk. Route Planner (GPS): Enter “Am Campus 1, 3400 Gugging”! Coordinates: 48.323045, 16264962—please do not enter “Redlingerhütte,” as that will lead you into the woods. From Heiligenstadt: Take bus 239 to IST-A

We’re open all the time! Weekdays with a limited menu.
Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: normal hours.
Hours: Year-round: From around 10 a.m. until dark; by appointment, of course, we can open earlier or stay open later.

Celebrations
Whether you’re planning a birthday party (including children’s birthday parties), a christening, a First Communion, a class reunion, or a wedding reception: our hut can accommodate approximately 100 people indoors; outdoors and under cover, we can host up to 200 people.
Food and Drink
You can choose from our menu or order dishes for a cold or hot buffet (pricing per person—please discuss with the manager), or bring your own food / desserts, or drinks—in which case we charge a fee per plate/cutlery or a corkage fee per bottle
Music
Electrical outlets and infrastructure are available both outdoors and under the roof. You can bring a band, a solo performer, or recorded music, or we can arrange live music or a DJ for you
Decorations
Floral arrangements, tablecloths, napkins, etc.—bring your own or request them
Fire
Upon request, we’ll set everything up for a campfire or barbecue (except in cases of extreme dryness or strong winds).
Please take any trash you generate (empty bottles/packaging) with you when you leave. Otherwise, we’ll charge a flat disposal fee
Access
Vehicle access is permitted for transporting goods or assisting guests with limited mobility; please arrange a time in advance or ring the bell at the gate.
Opening Hours for Celebrations – We’re Flexible
Please help us ensure that the sensitive forest and meadow surroundings of the hut, as well as our ponds and fruit trees, remain intact and well-preserved.
