A Vision
Since December 2023, a new tavern has been shining in the heart of Hochneukirchen, promising not only culinary delights but also serving as a vibrant hub for the community. It was founded by a dedicated cooperative established by local residents, which has received a warm welcome.
The goal: a tavern that, in addition to serving food and drink, serves as a lively gathering place for young and old alike.

After extensive renovations, the inn shines in new splendor and invites locals and guests alike to spend cozy hours together enjoying good food. Nestled in the landscape of the Bucklige Welt, the inn is also an ideal starting point for hikes and exploration tours through the surrounding nature, such as up to the Hutwisch.

The inn also welcomes clubs, family celebrations, and cozy “Bummerl-Schnapser” gatherings with open arms. Here, people come together to laugh, celebrate, and enjoy life. The spacious event area is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to accommodate a wide variety of events.
The inn’s culinary concept emphasizes regional ingredients, which is why it’s also a member of the“Sooo gut schmeckt Bucklige Welt-Wechselland” association. The kitchen spoils guests with fresh, carefully selected ingredients. The menu combines refreshing creations with traditional dishes, bringing the flavors of the Bucklige Welt to your plate.
A separate play area is available for younger guests.
The ground floor is wheelchair-accessible, but access to the restaurant is only possible via steps.

Throughout the year, s’Hutwisch offers a diverse program: about 20 different events, ranging from culinary highlights to cultural experiences and lively festivals—there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s “Bartholomäuskirtag,” “Wild Weeks,” or the lively “Oktoberfest”—special moments are guaranteed here.
Our fried chicken day has long since become a must-attend event for many guests—popular, well-attended, and always a treat. Every Thursday (except on holidays), we serve this classic dish while supplies last. Our tip: If you want to be sure to get your fried chicken, it’s best to make a reservation in advance.
From Monday through Friday (except on holidays), we treat our guests to a varied weekly menu. Every day, we offer a delicious two-course lunch menu. For the main course, you can choose between two delicious dishes—so there’s something for every taste.
