Description
The Vorderötscher shelter invites hikers and nature lovers to rest and stay at 887m. Here you can enjoy a snack in old walls with a modern flair, while rutting deer run through the beautiful mountain panorama.
The dream location at the end of the popular Ötschergräben makes the Wilde Wunder Card host a great starting point for hikes to the mighty Ötscher or the Gemeindealpe. In the fall, the region offers a special natural spectacle: During the deer rutting season, the deer practically walk past the hut and can hardly be missed.
Regional dining
The 200-year-old refuge has lost none of its homely flair or alpine charm since its renovation in 2014. The hut is also an absolute culinary highlight. A cozy, bright dining room invites you to enjoy a snack and relax. Hearty dishes, prepared in collaboration with exclusively regional suppliers, ensure your physical well-being.
