The over 400-year-old Meierhof is the last remaining part of the Zwerbach castle complex near Ruprechtshofen (Melk Alpine foothills). The estate serves as an oasis of peace and well-being for lovers, couples, friends and families. There are 3 rooms/apartments on the farm for a total of 10 people. Our highlight is our loft apartment. This has a fully equipped kitchen with cooking island, a spacious living room with library and bathroom with free-standing bathtub with a view of the field or the cozy wood stove. It doesn't get more romantic than this!
Our guests can use the large courtyard with weeping willow and swing for daydreaming or picnicking.
The 130 m² vaulted lounge is the perfect place for breakfast, reading, playing, celebrating, laughing, painting, yoga .... or just relaxing after a day out.
The castle garden with its south-facing terrace is a highlight at any time of year. Enjoy the sun until the evening or a barbecue with friends or a picnic in the garden?
Another attraction is the castle's own vintage car museum.
With its good connection to the A1 highway, the Gutshof is less than an hour from Vienna & Linz and only 15 minutes from Melk/the Wachau in the Mostviertel. The area invites you to go cycling, fishing, horse riding, hang gliding, canoying, swimming in the natural pond or at the small Melk river or to a wine tavern in the Wachau.
