Habsburghaus

At 1,785 metres above sea level, the Habsburghaus at the summit of the Grieskogel offers a retreat with far-reaching views. If you look through the panoramic windows of the parlour, you can see the Schneealpe, Ötscher and Hochschwab.

Homemade hut dishes

The Habsburghaus serves authentic mountain hut dishes prepared with ingredients from local family farms.

A cosy rest

After refreshments, you can relax with a book in the cosy seating area by the stove. If you stay overnight, you will be rewarded with a spectacular sunset. Overnight stays can be booked online at hut-reservation.org.

Hiking destination for the discerning and connoisseurs

The Habsburghaus can be reached via family-friendly routes from the Rax cable car as well as sporty via ferratas. The direct route from the mountain station takes around two and a half hours. Other options are the ascent via Hinternasswald or starting from Preiner Gscheid with a walking time of approx. 3 hours.
