Self-contained and radiating outwards, the "Old Monastery" lies in the centre of the medieval town of Hainburg a.d. Donau, with a view of the river and the Donau-Auen National Park. The cross vault from the 17th century provides a feeling of security and tranquillity and at the same time the straight lines of the furnishings reveal the open-mindedness of the 3rd millennium.
