Your stay
Villa Eisenwerk is a historic building with two guest apartments. Relaxation and tranquillity in an exclusive ambience await our appreciative guests.
Villa Eisenwerk is located in a park area, adjacent to an extensive wooded area, just as we love it in the Mostviertel. In the park, we offer a variety of paths and places where our guests can find peace and quiet. "Forest bathing and getting away from it all" - that's what we want to offer the friends of Villa Eisenwerk. But hikes starting from the house are also popular and lead across the hilly landscape to many an inviting destination - inns or simply "taking a look at the country"!
A wide range of programs can be booked as part of our seminars - from "fishing to yoga" - and the surrounding area offers plenty of variety for active guests.
There are two spacious vacation apartments on the upper floor of the villa, which are suitable for groups of different sizes. The garden view apartment has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. The balcony apartment has a double room and a multi-bed room for up to four people. It is therefore suitable as accommodation for up to six people.
History of the Villa Eisenwerk
The history of the "Hammer between Pesenderfl and Gebasbruckh" - today's Göblasbruck near Wilhelmsburg - is documented back to the 15th century. In 1871, Moritz Schmid von Schmidsfelden bought it and set up a production facility for carriage axles in the former pipe hammer - a factory for muzzle-loading rifles. With the help of his sons August and Adolf Schmid von Schmidsfelden, the company M.Schmid&Söhne was founded, which grew into a tool forge and malleable iron foundry in the 1880s. The continuous expansion of the foundry with the addition of a Haberland foundry for steel casting allowed Adolf Schmid von Schmidsfelden to begin building a stately villa - the current Villa Eisenwerk - in the 1890s, which he finally completed in two stages in 1908. Today, the villa is owned by the fifth generation of the Schmid von Schmidsfelden family and lives up to its rich history through a variety of activities.
