The organic winery H.u.M.Hofer, which has received many national and international awards, is located in Auersthal in the southern Weinviertel, just 20 km from Vienna. Numerous vineyards stretch across the first hills of this region. As pioneers of organic farming, the vineyards have been cultivated organically since the 1990s and controlled organic farming has been practiced since 2001.
