Graßl - Nepomukhof

Christian Graßl from Nepomukhof in Göttlesbrunn is responsible for both the work in the 15-hectare vineyard and the vinification in the cellar. Christian and Maria have revived a technique that was thought to have been forgotten: grape treading. With the main red varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and above all with the winemaker's favorite - Pinot Noir - the family themselves put their foot down to bring out the tannins and tannins even better. The name of the farm refers to a statue of St. John of Nepomuk, which was donated by the then village magistrate in 1740. The preserved part of this statue can still be seen in the courtyard. The heart of the winery also dates from around this time: an old vaulted cellar from the Turkish era, where the majority of the wines are still stored today.
