Waiting facilities and a ticket machine for purchasing tickets are available in the rustic reception building. Passengers are kept up to date on the current operation of the train via loudspeaker announcements.

Route information

  • Trains on the Vienna S7 rapid transit line in the direction of Wolfsthal and Vienna Floridsdorf are served.
  • Connecting buses to Bruck an der Leitha and Bratislava are available on site.
  • There are also bus connections to the town center.

Excursion destinations

The picturesque town of Hainburg an der Donau is just a few minutes' walk from the train station, with Heimoburg Castle not far away. The medieval castle complex can be reached via a family-friendly path, or alternatively directly by car, and offers a magnificent panorama of the entire region once you reach the top.

Another historical milestone is less than half an hour's walk away: the ruins of Röthelstein Castle. First mentioned in a document in 1180, the ruins of the former fortifications are located on a rocky outcrop directly on the banks of the Danube and are well worth a visit, especially because of the fantastic view.
