Description

Prinzersdorf station is located in the market town of the same name on the southern edge of the Dunkelsteinerwald. In glazed waiting berths, train passengers find protection from wind and weather, as well as an entertaining view of the extensive area of the Mostviertel. The two platforms are separated and can be reached safely via an underpass.

Thanks to the ticket vending machine, it is possible to buy tickets around the clock, and loudspeaker announcements and timetable notices provide information on the current operation of the railway.

The Park & Ride facility has been generously designed and offers space for more than 70 cars and mopeds. Almost 60 bicycles can be accommodated in the Bike & Ride Station.

  • Prinzersdorf station is located along the Westbahn line from Linz to Vienna.
  • Regional trains to Scheibbs, Pöchlarn and to the main station in St. Pölten stop here.
  • Cityjet trains to Amstetten, St. Valentin and to Vienna Westbahnhof are served.

Pielachtal cycle path

The Pielachtal offers numerous possibilities to be explored and an excursion is definitely worthwhile. Visiting the enchanting landscapes of the Mostviertel up close by bike is probably one of the best ways to enjoy this magical piece of Lower Austria. Along the Pielachtalradweg it tours itself from Melk to Loich-Dobersnigg, an entry and exit to the route is also possible from the train station Prinzersdorf.
