St. Pölten city center - pedestrian zone

Shopping center / street

Description

St. Pölten's city center welcomes its guests around the train station, cathedral square and town hall square. Here, Austria's second oldest pedestrian zone invites you to enjoy a wonderful shopping spree. In the newly revitalized Kremser Gasse as well as in Schreinergasse, Herrengasse and Domgasse, you will find all the stores you need for your daily needs - right next door to small boutiques and specialty stores.

Modern shopping is particularly enjoyable against the baroque backdrop. The heart of Lower Austria's provincial capital is home to traditional hatters and booksellers as well as colorful ethnic stores and urban coffee roasters.

The City Shopping Promenade is also a family-friendly shopping and office center - right in the middle of the city. There are also numerous cafés and restaurants throughout the city center for a relaxing break.

Weekly market in St. Pölten city center

Every Thursday and Saturday, the famous weekly market on Domplatz is held in the heart of Pölten's old town. From fresh meat and fish to organic vegetables and cheese specialties, the best delicacies from the region await you here.
