Station Aggsbach Markt

Situated at the foot of the Jauerling, the Aggsbach Markt train station is located in the municipality of the same name in the middle of the Wachau. The stop in the Lower Austrian district of Krems on the Danube is only a stone's throw away from the station and offers a beautiful reception building as well as a fantastic view of the surrounding region during any waiting times.

The station Aggsbach Markt is located along the Danube bank railway line, which is also called Wachaubahn. Tickets can be purchased on the trains of the tourist-run railway.

• Trains to Emmersdorf an der Donau as well as to Krems an der Donau are served here.
• A bus stop with connections to Krems an der Donau and Melk is only a few minutes' walk away.

Numerous excursion destinations in the beautiful Wachau region can be reached directly from the bus stop Aggsbach Markt easily and always accompanied by fantastic panoramas. Along the left bank of the Danube you can walk for about three quarters of an hour to Willensdorf, the place where the famous Venus was found.
