Designed to be barrier-free throughout, Platt station near Zellerndorf in the market town of Platt in the Hollabrunn district of Lower Austria offers plenty of comfort and a beautiful view of the surrounding region. A ticket vending machine is available in the waiting shelter on the platform, and timetable notices and loudspeaker announcements keep passengers informed about ongoing rail services.

Over 210 parking spaces are available to passengers in the Park & Ride facility for cars and mopeds. More than 20 parking spaces for bicycles in the Bike & Ride Station also serve to facilitate transfer.

The stop Platt bei Zellerndorf is located along the Nordwestbahn line.

  • The express trains of the S3 line stop here on their way to Retz and to the main station in Wr. Neustadt.
  • There are also regional express trains to Retz and Znojmo, as well as to Vienna Meidling and Wr. Neustadt.

Observation tower Platt

About half an hour's walk from the Platt stop near Zellern lies a scenic gem of the Retz region: the Platt lookout tower. Climbing the tower and enjoying the impressive view is very popular with young and old.

And while traditional wine taverns and romantic cellar alleys paint the picture of the Retz region, the next adventure destination is already waiting: the Stone Age Cellar Museum. In the rustic archaeology museum "Stone Age & Wine Age" meet. Here, the history of the region's settlements is told in a loving way.
