Station Statzendorf

The reception building at the unoccupied Statzendorf station was extensively renovated in 2008, retaining the original design of the main building. This was followed in 2011 by the construction of an underpass to cross under the two tracks.

There is space for 26 vehicles at the adjoining Park & Ride facility and parking for 74 bicycles at the Bike & Ride station. Timetable notices and loudspeaker announcements provide up-to-date information on current rail operations.

Statzendorf station is located along the Kremser Bahn and offers the following connections:

• Regional trains to Krems an der Donau, Horn and St. Pölten main station
• Bus connections to Krems an der Donau

History of the line

After the section of the Tullnerfeld Railway from St. Pölten to Herzogenburg was completed, the Kremser Bahn line was extended in 1889, providing the connection from Herzogenburg to Krems an der Donau.
