Train station Sitzenberg-Reidling

The station Sitzenberg-Reidling is located about 10 minutes on foot outside the centre of the village of the same name. The traditionally built reception building, with its typical corner ashlars, holds space for a waiting room, in which a ticket vending machine has also been installed. In addition to loudspeaker announcements and timetable notices, railway passengers can also find out about ongoing railway operations thanks to the modern, digital train destination displays.

More than 50 parking spaces for cars and mopeds are available to rail passengers directly on site, and almost 80 parking spaces for bicycles have been installed in the Bike & Ride Station on site.

The Sitzenberg-Reidling stop is located along the route of the Tullnerfelder Bahn.

• Trains of the rapid transit line S40 to Kritzendorf and further to Vienna to Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof are served here.
• Trains to the main station in St. Pölten also stop here.
• There is a bus stop at the station forecourt from which connections to Königstetten and Reidling can be reached.

If you get off the train in Sitzenberg-Reidling, you will be spoilt for choice, as the region's scenic landscapes offer many opportunities to enjoy every free minute to the full.

It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the station to the starting point for exploring the biodiversity trail in Sitzenberg-Reidling: the station of the municipality's volunteer fire brigade. The 13 stations of the circular trail are to be discovered over a distance of about three kilometres and you will also pass the Sitzenberg castle pond with its enchanting children's playground.

In addition to various events, concerts also take place in Sitzenberg Castle itself - culinary delights are provided by the Schmid Inn, which is not only located in the immediate vicinity of the castle, but also serves fish specialties from the castle pond. Sitzenberg Castle is also home to the local Federal College of Agriculture and Nutrition, which focuses on ecological sustainability.
