Description

Since 1972, the Stadtsaal Hollabrunn has provided a prestigious setting for balls, theater performances, concerts, weddings, fashion shows, congresses and many other events. In addition to the main hall, the Stadtsaal with its Foyer South and many other adjoining rooms offers a wide range of possibilities for seminars, lectures or group courses.

The low-rise building complex first catches the eye with its exterior, which is dominated by a 450 m² sgraffito. It was created in 1972 by the Hollabrunn artist Heribert Potuznik and is now a listed building. In 2010 and 2024, the building was extended with modern additions whose architectural simplicity blends in elegantly. The modern steel and glass constructions expand the interior and create light-flooded rooms with a high level of functionality.

Main hall
The architecturally unique acoustic ceiling in the main hall also pays homage to the 1970s: it consists of a modern plasterboard construction that forms differently shaped, suspended pyramids - fitted with attractive yet simple lighting fixtures in the design of the 1970s.

The hall offers 750 comfortable seats for concerts. With a standard arrangement of tables for 6 people each (e.g. for balls), the hall and adjoining rooms can accommodate around 650 people.

South Foyer
With its modern "living room feel", the extension from 2010 is a location for small and medium-sized events for up to 120 people. It is modern, simple and bright, the sgraffito adorns an interior wall and acts as a connecting element in the very modern interior design in white and anthracite.

It also connects the main hall with the sports hall built in 1976, allowing both halls to be used together, e.g. for large trade fairs. The south foyer is usually used as a catering area for events in the main hall.

Side rooms
Multifunctionality was actually implemented here: The Hollabrunn Stadtsaal is home to many other adjoining rooms: in addition to the dining room and seminar room, there is a cellar bar hidden under the stage and, as befits the Weinviertel region, there is even a real cellar vault! A gym and the new yoga room are ideal for exercise.
