Description
Winterbach station in St. Anton an der Jeßnitz is a stop on the Mariazell Railway. It is located on the so-called mountain route of the traditional railroad: its location in the picturesque Ötscher region makes the station a popular starting and meeting point for hikes and mountain vacations.
Together with 6 other stations - namely Puchenstuben, Gösing, Reith, Wienerbruck, Erlaufklause and Mitterbach - Winterbach is one of the stations in the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. This makes it possible for hikers to travel by train in an environmentally friendly way.
