Our winery has been run by Silvia and Günter Kalchhauser as a sideline since 1950 and is now in its third generation.
As we are a family business, all work in the vineyard, wine cellar and administration is carried out exclusively by family members. The older generation works hand in hand with the younger generation. We currently cultivate the varieties Grüne Veltliner, Frühroter Veltliner, Neuburger, Gelber Muskateller, Riesling as well as Blauer Zweigelt, Blauburger and Blauer Portugieser on a vineyard area of 9 hectares. A new addition to our range is a home-distilled apricot brandy.
However, our main focus is on the main variety of the wine-growing region - the Grüne Veltliner, whose grapes find the best conditions here in the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German).
Everyone is welcome to taste the wines and see for themselves how good they are.
