At the base of Ötscher, families and winter athletes will find a friendly and pleasantly compact alpine village that lets them enjoy their vacation to the fullest on the slopes and off. Rental skis and two ski schools are available to beginning skiers and aspiring pros.
A taste of the slopes
Ötscher is one of the most reliable ski resorts in the eastern Alps in terms of snow cover and delights visitors with its 19 km of runs of all difficulty levels, a racing course, 8 lifts and the Sunny Kids Park and Snow Park.
But also families can expect inexpensive winter sports fun when skiing on Mt. Ötscher: Once you arrive at the „Sunny Kids Park“ with magic carpet lifts and the little „snow bunnies“ won't want to go home at all anymore. The gentle family ski run (slope no. 8) is perfectly suited for practicing everything you have learned already.

Beyond the slopes
The Lackenhof area has 30 km of cross country skiing trails just waiting to be explored. The pace is quieter on extensive snowshoe hikes, for which there are two marked tours in Lackenhof, and on magical horse-drawn sleigh rides.
