Enzersfeld in the Weinviertel is part of the district of Korneuburg. The market town comprises two villages: Enzersfeld and Königsbrunn. Numerous Buschenschank (typical taverns), winegrowers and wine taverns characterize the municipality of Enzersfeld. A particularly nice tip is the idea of picnics in the Weinviertel: Weinviertel innkeepers - in Enzersfeld, Gasthof Scheiterer - pack a picnic basket and send their guests to the most wonderful picnic spots. And speaking of outdoor leisure: popular cycle routes include the easy Weinviertel Danube Cycle Tour, which takes around 3.5 hours, or the challenging Kreuttal Cycle Route, which takes over 5 hours.
Sightseeing tip: Enzersfeld church - two churches under one roof
The church in Enzersfeld is well worth a visit. Originally a chapel, the "Maria Geburt" church was built in 1681, with the chapel remaining as the high chancel. A new church was built over the existing church in 1908. The baroque high altar of the earlier church is today's Marian altar.
