Description
Welcome to the hiking village of Hollenstein an der Ybbs
Nestled between Gamsstein (1,774 m), Voralpe (1,770 m) and Königsberg (1,452 m) lies the hiking village of Hollenstein an der Ybbs, the main village of the Lower Austrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park. The long cultural development in the interplay of iron, wood and water are the special advantages of this community on the Lower Austrian Iron Road.
In the hinterland of the nature park, wooded gorges, remnants of primeval forest, waterfalls, rocks and peaks offer a harsh contrast to flower-filled forest moors and lovely alpine meadows. The Lower Austrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park offers well-signposted mountain bike routes with a total length of 296 km as well as an extensive network of hiking trails of varying difficulty, especially for sporty guests.
