The market town of Rastenfeld is located 30 km north of Krems, directly accessible via the B37 main road. The natural jewel"Ottenstein reservoir" is also located there! Boating, sailing, surfing, canoeing, lake camping and, above all, swimming in a natural environment offer all guests unforgettable impressions. All around the lake, the hilly Waldviertel landscape has something special to offer at any time of year: The green meadows and fields in spring, the rape blossom in May - June and the flax blossom in June/July. The poppy blossom also offers an intoxicatingly beautiful sight in July. The waving cornfields in August show us that summer has reached its peak. There are also tennis courts, bowling alleys, an 18-hole championship golf course at the Diamond Club Ottenstein and art lovers can visit Ottenstein Castle.
