Schweiggers Pilgrimage Site: The Madonna in the Tree
The so-called “Moata” near Siebenlinden is a popular place of pilgrimage that was erected in 1892 at the spot where a farming family discovered a pine stump bearing an image of the Mother of God of Mariazell while cutting wood. To this day, the tree slice with the resin image of the Madonna is on display here.
