St. Georgen am Reith lies between Hollenstein and Göstling in the Ybbstal Alps. The municipality belongs to the district of Amstetten and is located directly at the heart of the Ybbstal cycle path. Many cyclists therefore stop for refreshments at the Radweg-Stüberl Kogelsbach.
St. Georgen am Reith also has a lot to offer in winter: Both the Hochreit cross-country skiing center and the Hochkar ski area are just a few kilometers away. In addition, the Riesenlehen ski lift is a small but excellent ski area in the village. Winter sports enthusiasts can relax in the Ybbstaler Solebad in neighboring Göstling an der Ybbs.
