Fischerhütte of the ÖTK

Lodge / hut

Description

The Fischerhütte at 2,049 metres above sea level is Lower Austria's highest refuge and only a few steps away from the highest point in the country, the Klosterwappen (2,076m). Lower Austria's summit of hospitality is easier to reach than you might think: 60 taut or 80 leisurely minutes' walk separate it from the Schneebergbahn mountain station. For those who prefer a more demanding hike, the 1,482 m altitude difference from the Weichtalhaus in the Höllental valley between Schneeberg and Rax is the perfect reward: an incomparable panoramic view and excellent cuisine at the Fischerhütte.

Opening hours: Mid-May - end of October/mid-November depending on weather conditions

Accommodation (beds / campsites): 10 / 36
beds can be booked online on the website.

NOTE:
The Fischerhütte accepts reservations ONLY through its partner Hütten-Holiday anymore! Please make reservations for overnight stays at this link: http://bit.ly/fihuereservation
