Hofmeisterei Hirtzberger
RestaurantThis business is excellent…
Description
Toque-awarded cuisine, sophisticated Lower Austrian wine culture and unbridled creativity are the hallmarks of Hofmeisterei Hirtzberger. The two tenants, Hartmuth Rameder and Erwin Windhaber, are in charge of the culinary fortunes in the service and kitchen. And at a high level. Head chef Erwin Windhaber wears his three toques with calm composure. For him, the quality and regionality of the products have top priority. Guests are offered traditional Austrian dishes and monthly changing menus. Always accompanied by exquisite wines from all over the world.
The wine list comprises around 2,100 items - from Austria and Germany to France, Italy, the USA, Australia and China. Wine lovers will get their money's worth here. The in-house egg liqueur with Ron Zacapa 23 Y has proven itself as a digestif according to an old recipe. Hartmuth's finest vermouth is also very popular. A perfect symbiosis of wine, Sicilian citrus fruits and herbs from the (vineyard) garden was created in cooperation with winegrowers from the Wachau, Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German), Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German) and Wagram.
A historical and culinary jewel
The Hofmeisterei is located in an early Gothic palace in Wösendorf, in the heart of the Wachau World Heritage region. It was once a reading yard dating back to 1320, which was lovingly renovated by the Hirtzberger family. Since its opening in 2014, the Hofmeisterei has been offering guests an exciting mix of modernity and tradition. The service team looks after guests with charm and esprit in a relaxed atmosphere. Dining at the Hofmeisterei is a celebration. Speaking of which: the two state rooms are the ideal venues for various celebrations. They exude baroque flair and turn every celebration into something special. The location is also particularly pleasant: open all year round and located directly on the Danube cycle path, the Hofmeisterei is easy to reach by public transport.
