Description

Cornelia Knell-Schleicher has been running the inn in Horn since 2008, which may be called a country inn, but in culinary terms it goes far beyond this description. The recipe for success sounds trivial: Waldviertel hospitality, home-made products, good red and white wines from the region and a seasonally changing menu make a visit to the Knell family a tasty experience. The meat and grammel dumplings, the roast beef with napkin dumplings and cranberry peach and the fried chicken salad are delicious all year round. Modern home cooking that deserves its name. Guests prefer to enjoy this tavern cuisine in the cozy, bright parlor with a glass of wine, a side of beer or a cup of coffee. The banquet hall offers the perfect setting for weddings and family celebrations. The guest rooms were also redesigned in January and February. The result is a modern, bright style. The focus on natural wood runs through the entire country inn. The guest garden was also redesigned in 2021.

Typical Knell

It is well known that you can dine excellently at the Landgasthaus zum Knell. In the kitchen, great importance is attached to fresh, high-quality products from the surrounding area. This connection with the region is also evident in the award-winning inn garden. The attentive service staff serve Waldviertel specialties in the midst of nature. These include homemade products such as nut liqueur, paprika jam, elderberry syrup and natural juices. A new modern garden with playground offers families with children a place to run around.
