Description

Our vineyards are in Guntramsdorf (Lower Austria),

amidst the „Thermenregion“, an Austrian region

famous for its excellent wines.

Our family has been living here for 300 years and now

the fifth generation of winegrowers is working here

heart and soul dedicated.

The Romans already knew 2000 years ago how to grow

splendid wines in this region.

We are now operating about 32 hectares of

vineyards which are located – among others – in the

following prominent wine-growing areas:

The EICHKOGEL 367 m

... is located at the foot of the Anninger Mountain and

is part of the municipal area of Guntramsdorf. This is

one of the best wine-growing areas in the Thermal

Region because it is here that the East–European

steppe climate meets the warm humid Atlantic air,

with a light breeze from the Mediterranean! The

ground temperature here is, on an annual average, 3

degrees above normal temperature. It is both a cultural

landscape and a nature reserve. Cabernet Sauvignon,

Zweigelt, Merlot, Syrah, Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir

grapes are grown on the Eichkogel.

One of the largest Austrian Pinot Noir sites with

33 000 grapevines is located here.

WARTBERG is the name for the single vineyards of the

EICHKOGEL, whose grapes are blended to make our

cuvées.

SCHWABEN

... is a winegrowing area of Gumpoldskirchen, where,

due to its gravelly and loamy soil, superior quality

wines („Prädikatweine“) of international reputation

are produced. Grapes such as Riesling, Chardonnay,

Rotgipfler, Zierfandler and Cabernet Sauvignon are

grown here.

Other well-known areas around Guntramsdorf also

give our winery agricultural diversity.

We aim to offer our customers outstanding quality

wines, whether it be the wine merchant, the restaurant

owner or the wine lover in our wellknown

“Heurigen“-restaurant.

Quality, tradition and most of all devotion to our

pofession make our wines so exceptional.
