Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Knappenhof became an early retreat for personalities such as Sigmund Freud, Arthur Schnitzler and Viktor Frankl. The villa with its legendary sun terrace, conservatory and fireplace room is located directly at the foot of the Rax, surrounded by wide meadows, dense forests, rocks, streams and the clear, still air of the mountains.
