On the Hochkar with its steep slopes and freeride arena, on the Gemeindealpe with its naturally steep slopes and freeride area, and on the FIS World Cup piste and in the freeride zone on the Semmering.

Most ski areas are easily accessible by public transport.

In the Mostviertel: To the Gemeindealpe can be easily reached with the Mariazell railway from St. Pölten (from the Mitterbach Gemeindealpe stop it is approx. 7-10 minutes on foot), as well as to Annabergin combination with a regional bus. The "Bus to the Snow" service takes guests comfortably from Vienna via St. Pölten and Ybbs to the Hochkar.

In the Vienna Alps: the Semmering/Hirschenkogel can be reached directly by train via the Semmering railway, from the station you can walk or take the bus to the mountain railway. Other ski resorts in Lower Austria are also increasingly relying on public transport. To the Unterberg can be reached by train via Wiener Neustadt main station to Pernitz-Muggendorf station. From there, a shuttle bus will take you to the ski area. The Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen is also easily accessible by public transport.

At Semmering, a large part of the pistes are floodlit for night skiing; Annaberg offers ski touring evenings and night tobogganing; in other regions there are occasional night skiing and ski touring evenings. We recommend taking a look at the events calendar of the Lower Austrian ski resorts.

The Unterbergnatural snow paradise does without extensive snowmaking and favours natural snow, manageable infrastructure and plenty of peace and quiet. In several areas, hiking trails, cross-country ski trails and snowshoe routes invite you to experience winter away from the piste.

Several card models bundle winter sports resorts and thus create attractive price advantages. The mountain adventure pass gives you access to ten ski areas with 125 kilometres of pistes for one winter season - ideal for anyone who is regularly out and about in the mountains and wants to explore different areas.

In addition, the "Skigebiete im Mariazellerland " network connects the Annaberg, Mariazeller Bürgeralpe and Gemeindealpe Mitterbach ski areas so that one lift pass is valid in all three areas.

The Ostalpen-Card is a cross-province advantage card that combines several ski regions in Lower Austria and Styria in one season ticket.

Dynamic pricing refers to dynamic pricing for ski passes: ticket prices are not fixed, butchange depending on the time of booking, demand, capacity utilisation or seasonal period.

Those who book early or are travelling on less popular days often pay less, while prices can be higher on busy days. The aim is to improve capacity utilisation at the ski resorts - for guests, this ideally means early booking benefits and cheaper tickets outside the high season.

Day and multi-day tickets can be booked directly via the mountain railway online ticket shops in many Lower Austrian ski resorts. Depending on the area, print-at-home tickets, QR codes for smartphones or advance bookings with collection at the ticket office are also possible.
