Jägermarterlweg

From the main square, head west (toward Oberhöflein), turn left at the first fork onto a path, which will take you through the Grüner Graben toward Rassingdorf. From there, follow the road to Starrein. In Starrein, keep to the right and follow the Starreinbach upstream to the Jägermarterl. Here, you can also fish and barbecue by prior arrangement. Afterward, keep left twice, follow the path as it loops eastward, and after a short distance, cross the road from Starrein to Sallapulka. Walk about 300 meters along this road toward Starrein, then turn right toward Föhrengrund. Now keep going straight ahead and hike across the Starreiner Feld until you finally arrive in Obermixnitz. Here, wine taverns invite you to take a break. You should definitely accept this invitation, as excellent wine is grown in the Pulkau area, where the Waldviertel and Weinviertel regions meet. From Obermixnitz, follow a dirt road straight ahead toward the north until you reach Weitersfeld again.
