From the starting point, head north toward the cemetery—here, follow Fasanhausweg to the left and leave the village via Dreikreuzgasse on a steep ascent—cross the street and turn left onto a narrow path at the edge of the forest—you’ll come to the “Blauburger Radweg” – follow this gravel path – continue northwest through the chestnut tree-lined avenue into the forest – at km 5.9, you’ll reach the paved road, where you turn right – at the next fork, turn left toward Oberleis – After passing a large parking lot, ride up the hill, past the pilgrimage church to the Oberleis lookout point – now circle the mountain counterclockwise along the hiking trail – after the plateau with the observation tower, take the steep asphalt descent to the right and turn sharply right at the foot of the slope – You are now on the “Römer Wanderweg” – cross the Römerweg Bridge into the village of Au – at the main road intersection, turn left up the road and, shortly after the last house, turn right through the sunken path and head steeply uphill – At the saddle, you’ll meet the hiking trail; follow it to the right until you reach the Buschberghütte – Descend the northeastern slope to the parking lot, then take the road to the right and turn right again at the first fork – Now enjoy a brisk downhill ride through a wooded area and the terrain ditch; about 200 m after the end of the woods, turn right onto the dirt road – ride through the village of Au – leave the village to the south on the road and cross the federal highway – Ride along the farm road to the northern mountain saddle – now follow the road to the large parking lot – then keep left and ride very fast down the path past the fish pond – watch out for the roots before the windbreak!
– After a short stretch on the road, you’ll reach the residential buildings on the factory grounds – turn left here and head down toward Dörfles – Ride through the village of Dörfles – Leave the village to the south via farm roads and ride up the slope – Ernstbrunn is back in sight and can be reached again via the road.
