From the main square, head west past the cemetery onto Fasanhausweg to leave town—after Fasanhaus, keep right and continue to the summit—at the monument, you’ll join the “Blauburger Bike Trail” – continue left until you reach the state highway and follow it until the forest begins on your left – now head west on the dirt road toward Merkersdorf – Ride through the town toward Maisbirbaum – turn right before the stream and ride to Nursch – continue south on dirt roads until just before Ottendorf – follow the valley floor to the left and continue east to Maisbirbaum – Cross the town heading south – follow the stream and, at the 22.2 km mark, turn left into the wooded area – shortly after passing through the woods, turn left up the hill and descend toward Simonsfeld – Ride through Simonsfeld heading north – climb the hill to the north via dirt roads – at the small wooded area, turn right onto the road – now turn left to reach the plateau and then the fish pond – keep right at the farmstead and ride up “Neunhäuslgasse” – At the end of this road, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view, especially at sunset – Pass through Geißweide and the new residential area “In der Flur” to return to the village – Keep left after the wine tavern – this will take you back to the main square.
