We owe this beautiful hiking trail to the construction of the 1st Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline in 1873. To utilize the gradient for the valuable drinking water from the source in the Rax-Scheeberg area to Vienna, this was "divided" over the entire length. Accordingly, the hiking trail is flat. Noteworthy ascents and descents, except for the urban area of Baden – and even here not significant – are not present.

Description

Tip/Fun Fact: In 1998 this path was created directly on the pipeline route for the 125th anniversary of the 1st Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline. Every year in September the traditional Genussmeile takes place here, with direct wine tasting in the vineyard.

The hiking trail along the 1st Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline consists of 2 sections, each designed as a day route. The path leads along the most beautiful sections of the pipeline route. The first section of the 1st Vienna Water Hiking Path begins in Kaiserbrunn. The second section of the 1st Vienna Water Hiking Path starts in Bad Vöslau.
