Description
From the Feistritzsattel on day 1, the route goes via Mariensee to the Mönichkirchner Schwaig. On day 2, you then return to the Feistritzsattel via the Wechsel. There are various Schwaigen and huts along the way, which are open for refreshments. Find out which huts are open before setting off. This can vary depending on the weather and time of year.

- Route description Day 1 (18.2 km, 719 m ascent):The starting point is at Feistritzsattel. From there, follow the yellow signs to Kranichberger Schwaig. At the Schwaig, turn right until shortly after you reach a large fork in the trail, the Dreiländereck. From there, follow the signs to Feistritzer Schwaig. From there, follow the path straight ahead, passing the "Schwarzen Herrgott", until you reach Kampsteiner Schwaig. Take the right path there, which starts the descent to Mariensee. In Mariensee, pass through the village and follow the signs to Mönichkirchner Schwaig. Overnight stays are possible either at Alpenhotel Enzian or Berggasthof Mönichkirchner Schwaig.Day 2 (16.2 km, 591 m ascent):On the morning of day 2, take the hiking trail by the ski slope over Hallerhaus to the top station of the Mariensee Panoramabahn. From there, continue via the so-called "Steinerne Stiege" on to Niederwechsel and then to Hochwechsel, where you can stop at the Wetterkogler-Haus at the summit. Then begins the descent back to Dreiländereck and to Kranichberger Schwaig, from where you return to Feistritzsattel via the same route as on the first day.

- Getting there Via S6 to Gloggnitz, then via Otterthal to Trattenbach at Feistritzsattel, or via A2 to Grimmenstein or Apang/Markt, Kirchberg am Wechsel, Trattenbach at Feistritzsattel.
