Description

From the Hutwisch parking lot via the Hutwisch (896m) with its popular viewing tower, the trail leads along the hilltops to Kalteneck and the newly built viewing platform (now affectionately known as the "Guglhupf") near Redlschlag. Supported by well-labeled panoramic maps, you can enjoy a panoramic view from Wechsel to Schneeberg, Bucklige Welt, Lake Neusiedl, Hungary, the Koralpe and Slovenia. The trail continues via a path to the Steinstückl and then along forest paths towards Bernstein. In Bernstein, you should definitely find out more about the art of cutting precious serpentine or visit the rock museum.
