This alpine stage takes you to the highest peak of the alpannonia® long-distance hiking trail. From the Rosegger Schutzhaus on the Pretulalpe, you hike over a panoramic ridge dotted with windmills to the 1783m high Stuhleck. This is also the highest point of alpannonia®. From here you have a view of the surrounding mountains, the Mürztal valley and from Slovakia over western Hungary and large parts of eastern Austria. After the descent to the Pfaffensattel, the trail continues uphill and downhill, mostly through forests with some views, to the Feistritzsattel. Here you meet the main trail coming from Semmering(stage 1).
No overnight accommodation at the Feistritzsattel. Walking time to Trattenbach (overnight accommodation) approx. 45 min - shuttle service Feistritzsattel to Trattenbach is offered and recommended by the accommodation providers.

When choosing a route, make sure it matches your mountaineering experience and physical fitness. Check the weather forecast in advance. The weather in the mountains can change surprisingly quickly. Therefore, always set out with the appropriate gear (e.g., rain gear).
